a) Waitlist registration
When you sign up for the waitlist, we collect your email address. This is voluntary. Without providing your email, you cannot join the waitlist.

b) Server log files
When you visit our website, our server automatically collects and stores the following data in log files:

IP address of the requesting device
Date and time of the request
URL and HTTP method of the request
HTTP status code returned
Browser type and version (User-Agent)
Operating system
Referring URL (if applicable)
Amount of data transferred

This data cannot be attributed to a specific person by us. It is not merged with other data sources.

3. Cookies and Tracking

This website does not use cookies. We do not set any first-party or third-party cookies. We do not use any analytics tools (such as Google Analytics), tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or any other tracking technologies. No data is shared with advertising networks or social media platforms.

Since no cookies are used, no cookie consent banner is required.

4. Purpose and Legal Basis

a) Waitlist (email address)
We process your email address solely to manage the waitlist and notify you when extdesk launches. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR / Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO, which you provide by voluntarily submitting your email. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at louis@extdesk.app.

b) Server log files
The collection of server log data is necessary for providing and securing the website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR / Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Our legitimate interest lies in ensuring the stability, security, and proper functioning of the website.

5. Storage and Retention

Your email address is stored until you withdraw your consent or the waitlist is no longer needed, whichever comes first. Upon withdrawal, your email is deleted within 30 days.

Server log files are automatically deleted after 14 days.

6. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties. We may share data with:

Hosting providers necessary to operate the website (processors acting on our behalf)

All processors are contractually bound by data processing agreements (Auftragsverarbeitungsverträge) in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. No data is transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA.
